North Shore Library News: Dec. 8

Silver Bay Public Library:

The Arrowhead Library System presents Homeward Bound Theatre's "Legends of the Wilderness" with Jacques La Christian at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, for kids age 8 and older.

Experience the wilderness through reenactment of the 1800s with French Canadian Voyageur Jacques La Christian. See American Indian beadwork, flintlock rifles and pistols, along with furs of various types used in the fur trade in the U.S. and Canada.

David Popilek, as Jacques, has been entertaining diverse groups of people with his educational and compelling series of historical stories, exhibits and CDs for more than 30 years.

This free program, sponsored by Arrowhead Library System, was funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
