The Minnehaha Elementary fourth- and fifth-graders put on a Veterans Day program for the community Wednesday, Nov. 8.

The students sang patriotic songs and asked veterans from each branch of military to stand up to be recognized.

When those veterans stood up, students handed them "thank you" notes they wrote themselves, thanking the veterans for their service.
