Penni Harju and her son Eric were given a flower basket during the Workers' Memorial Day tree planting ceremony held outside the Duluth Labor Temple on Monday morning. The event honors working men and women who have died or been injured on the job. Harju's husband John, a heavy equipment operator for the City of Two Harbors public works department, died of a medical incident on Jan. 9. (Bob King / rking@duluthnews.com)
